Stuller Inc. continues its dominance of the Acadiana area, landing the No. 1 spot on  Acadiana Business' inaugural list of the top 50 private companies based in the six-parish region. Though its annual revenues were down in 2008, the jewelry manufacturing operation still generated $395 million in sales. Frank's Casing Crew, $370 million, and Schumacher Group, $347 million, are a close second and third, respectively.

The companies will be recognized at an Aug. 11 luncheon in their honor, with U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany Jr. serving as keynote speaker. For more info on the event and the Top 50 project, read Co-Publisher Cherry Fisher May's column in this month's Acadiana Business.
