As part of his ongong to effort to understand how the ailing economy is affecting "Main Street," President George W. Bush turns his attention to central Louisiana. The Town Talk reports that Bush will visit Alexandria today for the first time in his eight years in office. But the daily paper reports that President won't attend any public events, and because of "security concerns, White House spokeswoman Karen Reeves said the president's arrival and departure times would not be announced."
